Conforms to EN20471. Our signature brand is Fire Bear, a range of specialist flame retardant and arc protection garments. The Fire Bear ranges was designed by working closely with wearers over extensive trial periods. By accommodating and developing users’ wish list items for accessories and design features, Fire Bear garments have achieved record levels of user acceptance and satisfaction, whilst enduring the toughest environments. Expertise and experience has enabled us to offer a layering concept where with Fire Bear garments it’s possible to achieve EN 61482 Electric Arc Class 2, whilst maintaining your comfort, by using two layers combined from our Class 1 range. Special care needs to be taken when selecting these layers, as some combinations will not automatically achieve Class 2 but Fire Bear garments have an outer identification that provides clear instruction as to which garment can be worn as an outer layer. The Plus represents the added refinement specifically tailored for the Rail Industry where conforming to the GO/RT 3279 standard is mandated. Bearflex is a transfer-coated polyurethane material that is specifically produced for the workwear market. The advantages of Bearflex are:- 100% waterproof and windproof – that means it keeps the wearer dry and warm. Flexible in extremes of cold – it’s easier to do any work operation well if the garment moves and flexes as the worker does. Ultra lightweight – it’s so light that wearers hardly notice they have it on. Oil resistant – it’s designed to protect as well as perform. Unaffected by repeated washing – wearers can look clean as well as keep dry.
